Tennis lessons in Wandsworth, at your club or across the bridge
Private coaching at Magdalen Park Lawn Tennis Club for members, on private courts around Wandsworth, and at South Park, Coach Boof's home base, five minutes over Wandsworth Bridge. Adults, kids, beginners and match players.
Where lessons happen in Wandsworth
Wandsworth has more public courts than any borough in London, and most of the coaching on them is run by the clubs that hold the licences. Boof Tennis is different: one coach, your court or his. If you are a member at Magdalen Park or have a private court, Nick comes to you. If you have neither, South Park is just across the river and there is no membership to join.
Magdalen Park Lawn Tennis Club
The members' club off Magdalen Road in Earlsfield. Boof Tennis coaches members here; book a lesson and say you are a member.
Private and residents' courts
Garden courts in the Tonsleys, Wandsworth Common and Southfields, and any residents' court you have access to. Nick brings the balls and a spare racket.
Battersea Park
Council courts you can book by the hour at the Wandsworth end of the park, floodlit, with padel next door at the Millennium Arena.
South Park, Fulham
Nick's home base, five minutes over Wandsworth Bridge. Seven floodlit LTA courts, no membership, free parking on Sundays. Read about South Park.
Lessons on your court
One to one
An hour on your forehand, backhand, serve and volley, then a plan built around what you want: a first match, a better second serve, or just to stop losing to a friend.
Kids and juniors
Individual lessons for children from five, and small groups of up to four in the same hour. Hand eye coordination first, technique when they are ready, fun throughout.
Padel
Coach Boof is Padel MBA qualified. Rocket Padel at Battersea Power Station and the Millennium Arena in Battersea Park are both close. Ask when you book.
How booking works
1. Pick a time
Choose from the free slots on the booking page and say which court you have, or that you need one. About a minute, no account.
2. Nick confirms
He confirms by email, usually the same day. If you need a court, he sorts one at South Park, just over Wandsworth Bridge. Nothing is charged until then.
3. Play
He arrives at your court with everything. Bring a racket if you have one; if not, say so.
