Tennis without joining a club
Most tennis around Parsons Green runs through clubs: a membership, a waiting list, and group sessions at set times. That suits some people. If it does not suit you, this is the other way. Coach Boof coaches privately at South Park, the public LTA courts ten minutes from the Green, and you book a lesson the way you would book a table.
One to one, or two of you sharing an hour. Your pace, your goals, and a coach whose 50 Google reviews are all five stars.
Getting there from Parsons Green
On foot
Out of the station, down the New King's Road, right onto Peterborough Road. South Park is on your left. About ten minutes at a normal pace.
By bus
The 22 and 424 stop on the New King's Road and again at Peterborough Road. Five minutes.
By car
Street parking around the park. Free on Sundays, and quiet enough on weekday evenings.
Who this is for
Never played
The most common starting point. The first hour is about how you move and what you enjoy, then a plan from there. Nobody watching, nobody keeping score.
Played at school, stopped
The strokes come back faster than you think. A few lessons to knock the rust off, then you are ready for a friend, a partner, or a local league.
Kids and teenagers
Individual lessons from age five, or a small group of up to four friends in the same hour. Technique when they are ready; fun from the first minute.
